I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver Island in 1989. Boating and gardening are two of my passions – here I can enjoy both almost year ‘round.
I have renovated several homes and developed rural properties. Most recently I recycled a house built in 1951 and moved it from Oak Bay (in Victoria B.C.) to my acreage in Yellowpoint where I live with my partner Rob, my daughter Sierra, and our French bull dog, Penny.
I have worked in the real estate industry since 2000, holding various positions. I began my career as a realtor and appraiser on Gabriola Island followed by lending and commercial property management and leasing. I hold the Appraisal Institute of Canada’s CRA designation and the RI designation from the Real Estate Institute of BC. I have a diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC.
My community involvement includes three years as a SECA (South End Community Association) board member, three years as a member of the marketing committee for the DNBIA (Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Association), and two years as a board member for Nanaimo Montessori School.
