Jinglepot Road winds its way from the University District to North Nanaimo. Parts of this area are outside of the city limits, falling within the jurisdiction of the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN). Homes in the RDN depend on well water and septic as they do not have access to the Nanaimo municipal water and sewer system.  The Jingle Pot area is rural, with many hobby farms and 5 acre lots. There are several new developments in this area. This is one of those areas that allows for a country lifestyle within minutes of the city.
